- For the calf
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2-1 chopped carrot (I used 1/2)
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1/2 tablespoon adobo spice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For cooking potatoes
- 4 large potatoes
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- 2 tablespoons chicken broth
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, separated
- 2 tablespoons of milk
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 tablespoon melted butter

Instructions for making Shepherd's Pie with Baked Potatoes for Two Times
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Rinse the potatoes well.
- Cook potatoes for 45-50 minutes or until lightly mashed with a fork. (I'm late for dinner and I have Potato Express in my hands, so I used it and put it in the microwave for 5 minutes)
- While the potatoes are cooking, grate the onions and carrots. Saute ground beef and add vegetables, chili powder, adobo spices, salt and pepper. My heart until the vegetables are soft. (Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of the calf!)
- Once the potatoes are cooked in the oven, carefully slice them and place on top, peel and help yourself scoop out as many potatoes as you can with a spoon. Be careful not to get burned!
- Add milk, yogurt, chicken broth, garlic powder and half the cheese to the potatoes and mash. If you want it to be creamier, add more milk.
- Mix beef mixture with mashed potatoes until smooth. Sit aside.
- Melt the butter in a small bowl or cup. Add flour and additional spices (I added more milk) and mix until you get a thick paste. Spread the batter over the bottom and edges of the potatoes.
- Stuff potatoes with meat mixture and place on top!
- Add remaining cheese and cook 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
- Have a good time! We ate with sour cream for a side dish. I had macaroni and cheese, I wouldn't say no to macaroni and cheese! :)
